CONFERENCE INFORMATION

Laboratories are continually challenged with ensuring a balance between making good measurements but at the same time achieving economic sustainability. This year’s theme addresses this issue and looks at how labs can make quality measurements on a continuous basis without sacrificing financial viability.

In seeking to find solutions to this challenging subject the Conference organisers have put together a programme which features a number of tutorials and workshops that address the following key issues:
• Accreditation (Use of PT, Traceability, Legal Implications, New Requirements)
• How to make better Mass, Temperature, Electrical and Volumetric Measurements
• Laboratory Safety
• Use of Autoclaves and Sterilizers
• Use of Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• Uncertainty of Measurement
• Method Validation

These practical and highly topical subjects will provide attendees with new and innovative thinking in many critical areas. Together they reflect how laboratories make quality measurements.

The organisers would like to draw the Calibration community’s attention to the fact that at this year’s Conference a strong emphasis will be placed on communicating topical issues to these laboratories in line with various recently announced Accreditation requirements. In addition, attendees can also look forward to a strong networking opportunity as well as being able to catch up on the latest in products and services that are available by visiting the concurrent exhibition.
