The NLA – SA have recently embarked on a new approach to their PT Scheme offerings which now consist of “Scheduled Schemes” and “On-demand Schemes”, the details of which can be found in the information below. All the Calibration PT Schemes meet the requirements of ISO/IEC17043 and SANAS R48 and the NLA – SA is a SANAS accredited Proficiency Testing Scheme provider.
These PT Calibration Schemes are planned well in advance as per a rolling three-year plan and run for a fixed period after which they will be terminated and a final report issued.
These PT Schemes, details of which can be found by clicking on the button below, will run irrespective of the number of participants who register and at the fixed price as communicated on the website. This price allows for up to a maximum of three results to be submitted per registered participant. Should more than three results per participant wish to be submitted, an additional cost of R500,00 excl VAT per result will apply.
These Calibration PT Schemes, the details of which can be found by clicking on the button below, can be run at short notice and for participant numbers as low as one, in which case they are considered “bilateral comparisons”. In general, the cost of these schemes is higher than the equivalent “Scheduled” PT Schemes, since the PT artefact has to be re-calibrated regularly and not just for a particular PT Scheme . In addition, the fixed costs cannot be amortised proportionally over several participants.
It should be noted that in years where a PT Scheme, as indicated as an “On-demand” PT Scheme, is also offered as a “Scheduled” PT Scheme, participation in the “On-demand” Scheme will not be permitted in that same year.
